Jason Aldean Rolling into Baseball Stadiums Next Summer!Oct 19, 2012 -- 9:00am
- Jason Aldean announced his 2013 tour in grand fashion. The ‘Night Train’ will kick off with an historic event at Fenway Park in Boston. Not only is this historic for Jason as he begins performing stadiums, but it’s historic for country music. Come July 13th, Aldean will be become the first country artist to ever headline the baseball stadium. Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett will join him for that event. And then on July 20th Kelly Clarkson will replace Lambert as Aldean leads the billing for a show at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Several others dates are on this stadium tour which was announced yesterday with Aldean flying across the country to announce the shows at each stadium. With this next step, Jason Aldean marks a memorable step in his career. The only current artists who have been able to sell out stadium shows are Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift.
- 2013 may be the year of collaborations and duets. Two more duets have been announced. First Kelly Clarkson and Vince Gill. Clarkson is releasing a Greatest Hits – Part 1 album on November 19th and the track listing reveals a duet with Vince Gill on a song called “Don’t Rush.” And while not many details are being released, country music fans may get to hear that song live during the CMA’s on November 1st, since the promos are boasting a duet with Gill and Clarkson.
- And Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera jokingly mentioned a duet on The Voice, but apparently they weren’t kidding. Not many details are being released, but the track listing for Aguilera’s new album “Lotus” note Blake Shelton as a partner on a song called “Just A Fool.” The album is due out November 13th and we may have to wait until then to see if the song is pop-country, all pop with some twang back up, or no telling what Shelton has up his sleeve.
