Thompson Square Releasing Lead Single from Sophomore AlbumOct 18, 2012 -- 9:00am
- Thompson Square is gearing up for a Spring 2013 release of their sophomore album. The first single will debut on October 30th. “If I Didn’t Have You” will be the lead single and gives the duo as well as two others songwriting credit, Jason Sellers and Paul Jenkins. Those being the same guys who worked on “I Got You.” Keifer and Shawna describe the new song as “...a story about two people who rely on each other to get through the tough thing we call life. We all have someone who we can go to for encouragement and this is our story.” In honor of the single release, Thompson Square will be doing a StageIt show at 2:00PM on 10/30. - For the third year, a very pregnant Jennifer Nettles will be hosting the “CMA Country Christmas” special on ABC. Nettles will be joined by several artists to film the special November 3rd at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Some of those artists include: Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, the Band Perry and Keith Urban. This time around, producers have added a charity factor asking attendees to bring toys to donate to the Generosity organization which will distribute the toys to children on Christmas day. Of the event Nettles says, "It is such a joy to watch this holiday special grow -- in not only its talent roster, but moreover in its charitable celebration of the season."
