"Nashville" is a Hit!Oct 12, 2012 -- 9:00am
- Did you catch the premiere episode of the new television drama “Nashville?” It was a hit with fans and country stars alike. One of the main characters, Juliette Barnes played by Hayden Panettierre, is more than a little on the snarky side. Panettiere battled rumors that her character was based on Taylor Swift, but now she is comparing her character to Carrie Underwood...sort of. Hayden says she took cues from Underwood to create the stage presence for her character saying of Carrie, “She’s one of those girls that doesn’t do the whole dancing-around-choreography thing but has that stage presence like no other. She can just stand there and be incredibly interesting.” Panettiere is performing the songs on “Nashville” and those songs will be available on iTunes. The first “Love Like Mine” is available now.
- I think in hockey it’s called a hat trick, but in music it’s called a darn good song. Jason Aldean has topped the charts for the third week in a row with “Take A Little Ride.” The song has been a hit since its release, and if it’s any indication as to the fate of his upcoming “Night Train” album, he’s in for another big year. Jana Kramer is also enjoying seeing the charts release. Her debut single “Why Ya Wanna” has officially broken Taylor Swift’s record for the highest charting debut song from a female. She’s at number three this week. And while she’s looking to get to number one, she’s completely content with the success of her first country single saying, ““The fact that we got to where we’re at has just been crazy. And country radio embracing it the way they have, I’m super thankful.”
