Aug 26, 2013 -- 9:00am
  • The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame will welcome four new members come October.  Among those?  Alabama frontman Randy Owens.  Owens and the other Alabama members are already members of the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Joining Randy in this year’s inductee class are Will Jennings, Layng Martine, Jr. and Jeffrey Steele.  This group is credited with writing hits like “Please Remember Me,” “What Hurts The Most,” “Tennessee River,” and “My Heart Will Go On.”  The induction will take place October 13th.
  • And Tim McGraw is heading back to the big screen.  While his lips are sealed on the details of the role, rumors are flying he’ll star in the upcoming film “Five Good Years.”  It’s a film about a Kentucky coal miner who takes up boxing in order to help his critically ill mother.  It’s not 100% this is the role he’s referencing since he mentioned shooting starts next month, but this film as reportedly been in production since 2010.  To be continued.
