Carrie Underwood Taking Over Sunday Night Football Opening!May 09, 2013 -- 9:00am
- Amy Grant is releasing her first studio album in over ten years. “How Mercy Looks From Here” will be released May 14th, and Grant describes the album saying, "A lot of major life changes happened during these past few years. So on this record, there's zero filler. Every song has a real story behind it." Zero filler indeed. The album includes eleven tracks and features guests including James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Eric Paslay, Will Hoge, and Grant’s husband Vince Gill. See a full interview with Amy about the album below...
- Carrie Underwood has some big shoes to fill! Underwood will take over for Faith Hill to sing the opening for each week’s Sunday Night Football game on NBC. SNF producer Fred Gaudelli said, “Carrie Underwood was our first and only choice to perform the Sunday Night Football opening. She’s one of America’s most popular entertainers and the perfect fit for our show.” When Carrie teased the news on Twitter, apparently a lot of fans thought she may be announcing she was expecting because she followed up the teaser tweet saying, “Goodness gracious! From now on, any time I say I have good news, I'm going to have to follow it up with the hashtag #NoImNotPregnant sheesh!” As for the opening song, it will be the same lyrics, but will have the “Carrie touch.”
