Billy Ray Cyrus and Randy Travis Film Pilot TV Show

Apr 25, 2013 -- 9:00am
  • Billy Ray Cyrus and Randy Travis are putting their acting caps back on.  In a recent interview, Cyrus revealed the pilot has already been shot for television show starring the country singers.  The show is called “Still The King” and Cyrus says, “I play a dysfunctional Elvis impersonator who becomes a preacher. Randy's the sheriff. It's a great story, and I think it will find a home pretty soon.”  May seem ironic for Travis to be playing a sheriff when just last year he was arrested on a couple different occasions, but, hopefully this is a good sign for him.
  • And even though he said he wouldn’t, Brad Paisley is slated to appear on ABC’s TV show “Nashville.”  Paisley has said he couldn’t handle being a part of the show because of the character his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, plays...a mistress.  Maybe they won’t be in the same scenes.  Unlike a lot of celebrity guests, Paisley will actually perform with characters Rayna and Deacon.  You can catch Brad in the season finale of Nashville on May 22nd.
