Gary Allan's "Set You Free" Tops Two Charts!Feb 05, 2013 -- 9:00am
- Gary Allan has plenty to be excited about. His latest studio album “Set You Free” debuted at number one on Billboard’s Top 200 chart and Billboard’s Country Albums Chart. With Allan’s ninth studio album, this marks the first time Allan has topped the Top 200 and the third time he’s had a number one on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. The first single “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)” has already seen the top of the country singles chart. Of the feat, Allan says, “I would especially like to thank all my fans and everyone at radio. I would also like to thank everyone on my team who has helped to get me to this point. This is a great feeling!”
- Speaking of number one, Jason Aldean is celebrating another number one single this week as his latest effort with Luke Bryan and Eric Church reached the top of both major country charts this week. This is Aldean’s 11th number one. "Having Eric and Luke come sing on this track with me was one of the highlights of recording the album," said Aldean. "We are buddies off the road and outside of the music business, so this one is extra special for me. After my first No. one song back in 2006, I worried I may never have another one. Thankfully, we've been able to rack up a few of them in a row recently, and I have a lot of people to thank for that." Aldean is slated to kick off his Night Train Tour featuring Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett on February 21st.
- And some sad news for all the ladies, Brantley Gilbert is officially off the market after proposing to girlfriend and fellow country singer, Jana Kramer. Kramer recently revealed the details of the engagement. It was actually Gilbert’s birthday when he blindfolded her and took her to The Ryman Auditorium where he proposed just feet away from where Johnny Cash met June Carter, saying country music is what brought them together.
